My practice and my personal life are guided by my core values. Here they are:
Service
I believe in serving my clients and my community at my highest professional capacity. You can trust me to follow through on my commitments to you. I will always show up in service of you and your goals.
Professional Excellence
Lawyers hold a position of authority and trust within their communities. As a professional coach and lawyer (non-practising), I hold myself to the highest standards of professional excellence and hold my clients to the same standards.
Community
I believe strongly in building genuine relationships with professionals, colleagues, friends and family whose values align with my values. We all have the potential to create a deep and meaningful impact through our work and that impact is amplified when we act together through community.
Courage
I believe that each of us has a voice for a reason and that we are each compelled to take a stand for something we believe in. Doing that is not always easy. Courage is within each of us and it's what motivates us to make bold moves and initiate changes that will have true impact on our world.
Health
To perform at our highest level, we must take care of our personal health. That includes our physical, mental and spiritual health.
Innovation
We live in times of rapid change. Our ability to identify opportunities, adapt to change and create new ways to practice is what drives innovation and evolution.
Joy
Our professional work is a core component of our lives. We can cultivate joy in our practice by learning to enjoy the process, even when that means dealing with uncomfortable situations and overcoming 'failure'. As the Ancient Greeks said, happiness is the joy you feel when working toward your potential. I believe that we have unlimited potential - and therefore an unlimited source of joy!
Balance
My family and professional work are everything to me. That doesn't mean that every day is balanced, but balance is there overall. I try to see my family life and professional as complementary to each other, instead of seeing them at odds with each other.
Self-Trust
The relationship we have with ourselves matters. I believe in continually developing our self-concept, self-confidence and self-trust so that we can live and work in integrity with our values and beliefs.
Ethics
As a professional coach accredited by the International Coaching Federation, I adhere to their code of ethics.
